Who dug those holes in the woods and neatly stacked the rocks lining them? Join us as we locate long-abandoned Waterville Valley home-sites & cemeteries and share stories gathered by Preston Conklin about the folks who created them. There is some elevation gained on this hike up a moderately-graded, well-shaded woods road and down a forest path. Participants will have the opportunity to view and photograph physical evidence left behind by some of the area's 19th Century inhabitants.

We will meet at the WVRD office, where a bus will be making the short trip down to Six Mile Bridge.
