About the event

Expand your horizons on pedaling adventures beyond the 49 frontier. Transportation from Waterville Valley will be provided to these NH exploration rides led by experienced guide, Tyler Durham, who is WFR certified, a BICP certified instructor, and who has completed self-supported cycling journeys across the United States, France, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia. There are several views of Mt. Cardigan afforded on this loop which will take riders through Alexandria, New Hampshire. Follow the Fowler River upstream and marvel at the granite formations the movement of water has revealed before flowing downhill on Cardigan Mtn. Rd. past orchards and old farmhouses. With a majority of the climbing out of the way, enjoy some pedaling along quiet dirt roads before completing the loop. Length of ride: 17 miles Total Elevation Gain: 1, 578 Feet (The climbing is rewarded with some nice views and some fun downhills) Ages: 13+ (riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult) Cost: $/20 guest $15/member Time: 10am -unless otherwise noted Schedule: Sundays 7/10-10/2 Preregistration required Please reach out to Tyler with any questions. adventure@watervillevalley.org 603-236-4695

Note: Please bring the following required items; -A properly sized & well-maintained bicycle appropriate for riding an unpaved road (mountain bike, gravel bike, hybrid or road bike with tires wide enough to be suitable for riding on gravel, crushed stone and other variable surfaces) -Well-fitting bike helmet -Clothing comfortable for riding in variable weather conditions -Water -Snacks -A spare tube which fits the tires currently on the bike being ridden Rentals through the Adventure Center can be arranged ahead of time.
